Artwork finished and framed

Optical mixing needs some explanation. The layers that are applied are having opaque, transparant and semi transparant pigments. The result is that layers shine through and these layers mix. The result is very vivid, more vivid than applied in one layer mixed on the palette (this last is called 'alla prima, in one go'. This optical mixing effect is so vivid, because of the interaction of the light with the different layers, resulting in change of the frequency and hence the color of the light. The effect is very special and only accessible by this technique.

After the color layers have dried and the artwork is finished, the artwork needs to be framed. Edwin co-works with a top framer, who delivers ultimate quality.
