In the project called “Sensual in the City”, Edwin takes photos of a nude model at well-known historical locations of cities, each telling a strong message and story. Edwin combined that with his own international mission, namely that of the power, beauty and equality of women. Edwin always makes paintings based on the photos from every photo shoot. First, the photos are exhibited and later the paintings.

The model wears a blinding cloth which symbolises that women are always one steop behind in life with respect to men. For example they get paid less for the same job and have career handicaps. America today symbolises the increasing taboo on nudity.

Lost in the City
This photo is taken in the historic centre in Maastricht. The street Tafelstraat is full of monumental buildings from the 16th till 19th Century. It is an epic and expressive photo about a woman lost herself and is completely out of balance and desoriented.
